In the previous episode, it began with Chin on a motorcycle as he rode to Kono's house. Kono told Chin that the Yakuza was behind it and that Gabe stole the money, which now put them in danger. Chin told Kono that he would assign more guards for them.

Meanwhile, Steve overheard his girlfriend Catherine as she talked on the phone in another language. Steve asked his friend if he had gotten the ring. In another part of town, Danny woke up his nephew Eric for his new job at the crime lab.

At the headquarters, Jerry was moving boxes with the help of Ani, an intern. Steve and Danny talked about Catherine and Steve's planned proposal. Kono was looking for Gabriel, who had stolen their money.

The team solved their case and Gabriel had gotten in touch with Kono. Steve went back to his house only to discover that Catherine was waiting for him. She had a bunch of packed bags with her and she told him that she was leaving.
