The team heard about the fake money and cornered the young couple. Max told them that the victim died from an arrow shot early in the morning. Meanwhile, Adam was at rehab when two men took him and they brought him to a man named Tom Bishop who worked for a man named Goro Shiomo, who had been looking for Gabriel. Adam was asked to torture on of Gabriel's men for information.

As it turned out, the victim was a man named Harrison Crane, a rich man who had gone off the grid some 20 years ago. Crane had not left his house in years according to the caretaker who merely left food outside the door.

Adam talked to the man named Aaron and he told him that they were in the same boat. The money was traced to a man named Gerald, who helped them close the case. The episode ended with Adam as he hid his bruised hand from Kono.
