Meanwhile, Hawaii News Now revealed that the long-running police procedural series will add two new faces in the second half of season 8.

According to the report, the series will add Canadian actress Meaghan Rath and New Zealander Beulah Koale in the upcoming episodes of the season.

O'Loughlin shared that both new cast additions are very talented. "They're very instinctually awake and very, very prepared, and so it's not a struggle in any way," he also stated.

On the other hand, Jorge Garcia explained that adding new cast members in the mix could be very beneficial for the show. "I think it's fun when you get an influx of new blood, basically, 'cause as an actor, it's kind of cool to get to find new chemistries and find new relationships with the people," the actor who plays the role of Jerry Ortega in the series stated.

Aside from the two actors, the second half of "Hawaii Five-0" season 8 will also introduce McGarrett's new sidekick – a dog named Eddie. According to O'Loughlin, Eddie can both be a "nightmare" and a delight to work with. "Everything is going to take six times as long to do because they're so unpredictable, they gotta go potty and there's all sorts of things that happen. But to have Eddie on board, I love dogs. I'm a big dog guy," he also said.
