HCJB Partners with EQUIP in Leadership Development
The worlds oldest international mission broadcasting agency, HCJB World Radio, announced its partnership with EQUIP, a leading Christian leadership ministry, on Monday.
HCJB has for 75 years been involved directly in the technical as well as strategic aspects of broadcasting. However, as the mission group looks to the future, it hopes to change from a doing mode to an enabling mode by training local groups to do the ministry, according to Curt Cole, HCJB vice president of international ministries.
Through the new partnership, EQUIP will provide HCJB staff and partners stations with leadership materials and training to become international Christian leaders.
Leadership is an essential component of organizational growth, said Dr. Dee Nyamieh Walker, director of training and leadership development for HCJB, in a statement. In order for our ministry to be as effective as it can be, all of us from CEOs to station managers need to be displaying the characteristics of Biblical leadership.
We are excited to partner with EQUIP in training and developing leaders who would influence this and the next generation of Christians worldwide.
EQUIP was founded by best-selling author and leadership expert Dr. John C. Maxwell with the purpose to train and empower Christians worldwide with the skills needed to realize their leadership potential, improve their communities, impact their spheres of influence, and fulfill the Great commission.
Both HCJB World Radio and EQUIP work in more than 100 countries.
As HCJB readies themselves for the next 75 years, their need for biblical, servant leaders inside the ministry also grows to new heights, said the Rev. Tom Atema, vice president of international ministries and strategic partnerships for EQUIP. EQUIP counts it an honor and privilege to be a part of this ministrys growth journey by providing them with leadership material and training.
