"The Grand Tournament card packs will be available to purchase via the in-game Shop on August 24 in the Americas and Europe regions," GameSpot quotes Blizzard in its announcement. "Pre-purchased card bundles can be opened upon the official release of The Grand Tournament, as well. The Grand Tournament will raise its banners in Asia on August 25."

Buyers can gain access to an exclusive "festive" card back immediately by purchasing the $49.99 pack. The advanced order will enable them to save around $10. A 40-card pack of "Goblins vs. Gnomes" cards is priced at $9.99. Grand Tournament cards are projected to cost about the same, the report relays.

Buyers of The Grand Tournament will be able to gain access to a new map. The pack also includes an in-game mechanic called Inspire, which is activated with every use of a hero power, the report adds.
Gamers are able to play Hearthstone for free, but Blizzard earns monthly revenue of around $20 million from in-game purchases alone, says SuperData Research.

Meanwhile, the latest updates to the popular online card game suggest that a new mode may be added. Because of this, there are rumors about an upcoming co-op mode for Hearthstone.
