Henry Cavill News: 'Man of Steel' Says 'Black Widow' Thinks Superman is Better than Captain America

Did Black Widow really say that Superman is better than her fellow Avenger Captain America?

If the report of Clark Kent is to be believed, then the Marvel character's statement will surely create a buzz in the comic world.

However, it is not to be taken seriously as it was not Clark Kent himself who reported the statement but the actor who breathed life to the character and his alter-ego Superman who put words into the mouth of the Avenger character.

"Reporting in from the Huawei P9 launch event in Shanghai and according to my sources Superman is indeed better than Captain America," goes the caption of Cavill to his uploaded Instagram photo showing him poking a microphone to a big poster of Scarlett Johansson, who portrays the role of the Marvel superhero in "Avengers" movies and in the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War."

Many have speculated that Cavill's act, although was funny, was an indirect answer to the statement of Chris Evans, who plays the titular role in the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War," who said in an interview with Variety that no can do superhero films better than Marvel does.

"They've got a monopoly on it, they're doing it and no one else can try and copy it," Evans declared in an interview.

There are those who believe that Evans' statement could have meant nothing more than praising Marvel Studios for how well it makes superhero movies, but there were those who interpreted it as Evan's way of throwing shade at "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," which has been heavily criticized by the critics, resulting in its slow down at the box-office.

As of this writing, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" has earned less than $830 million dollars for its global gross. While the figures are already impressive and qualify the movie as a blockbuster, it still pales in comparison to Marvel's "Avengers" movies, which have crossed the $1 billion mark.

As "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Captain America: Civil War" are shown just a month apart, it is inevitable for fans of DC and Marvel to compare their box-office performance. With the positive reviews coming in from those who have been privileged to see "Captain America: Civil War" in advance, it is expected that the said movie will be able to replicate the success of other Marvel superhero films.

Despite the predicted would-be loss of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" to "Captain America: Civil War" for box-office supremacy, apparently, "Superman" is just not giving up the fight and still believes he is better.
