Henry Hopper and Rape Lawsuit: Dennis Hopper's Son Faces Trouble

Actor Dennis Hopper's 21-year-old son Henry has been accused of raping a 15-year-old girl this week.

The son of the Hollywood star allegedly used drugs and alcohol in order to force the unidentified girl's consent, according to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ on Tuesday.

Hopper is being sued by the mother of the unidentified girl, who is named Jane Doe in the lawsuit.

The plaintiff alleged that her daughter met Hopper through a mutual friend in February last year, and that the 21-year-old began to communicate with the young teen through Facebook. In the months that followed, Hopper invited her to his Venice, Calif. home several times, and offered her drugs and alcohol.

According to the legal papers, Hopper would wait until Doe was intoxicated before he "engaged in sexually offensive conduct with her," including sexual intercourse among other sexual acts.

Much mystery still surrounds the lawsuit, such as whether Doe ever reported the conduct to the police.

However, Doe's lawyer states in the lawsuit that Hopper "preyed upon a young impressionable child, suggesting that he cared for her, luring her into his home with promises of alcohol and illegal drugs, and then repeatedly taking advantage of her youth and vulnerability," reported TMZ.

The lawsuit seeks compensation for unspecified damages.

Hopper, whose father starred alongside James Dean in both "Rebel Without a Cause" and "Giant," has also tried his hand at acting. The aspiring thespian appeared in 2011's "Restless."

Also, Hopper will appear in the upcoming film "Tar" which also stars James Franco, Mila Kunis, and Jessica Chastain.

Even if law proceedings rule in Hopper's favor, accusations of rape can be very damaging to his image. The lawsuit may see a settlement outside of the court, and may require mediation before going to trial.
