Herman Cain 2012 Bid Being 'Reassessed' Amid Affair Allegations (VIDEO)
Herman Cain is reportedly reassessing his candidacy bid following allegations that he had a 13 year affair.
The National Review Online has transcribed a message from Cain to his staff in which he discussed his current situation.
Allegations were made this week by a businesswoman from Georgia named Ginger White, who has accused Cain of having a 13-year affair with her.
Cain told his staff: “It’s taken an emotional toll. It’s also taken a toll on my wife and family, as you would imagine.”
He flatly denied that he had taken part in an affair with White, and has said that people are simply out to get him.
Cain has also recently been embroiled in a flood of sexual harassment accusations by numerous women, but it now looks as though the latest allegations of an affair may completely derail his White House bid.
Cain did not specifically talk about dropping out of the primary race but questioned whether people would be able to continue supporting him. Cain said: “That’s why we’re going to give it time, to see what type of response we get from our supporters.”
