Herman Cain Sexual Harassment Allegations: GOP Candidate Says God Called Him to Run
Herman Cain said Saturday that God called on him to run for president and he did much praying while trying to make his decision.
"I prayed and prayed and prayed," said Cain to members of the Georgia Young Republicans in Atlanta.
"I'm a man of faith, I had to do a lot of praying for this one, more praying than I'd ever done before in my life,” Cain added. “And when I finally realized that it was God saying that this is what I needed to do, I was like Moses, ‘You’ve got the wrong man, Lord. Are you sure?'"

The GOP candidate has mentioned faith often during his campaign.
“I don’t know if I’m the leader that this nation needs at this particular point in our history, but I believe God almighty knows...and if I am, it is in the hands of God almighty. Not a party. Not the media," Cain said at a media event recently.
The former Godfathers Pizza CEO was caught in a sexual harassment scandal over the past few weeks; however, he is still at the top of many polls.
An AARP poll Friday showed people still prefer Cain to Romney with 25 percent to 22 percent. He also is on top of the polls in South Carolina and is a close second in Florida.
Cain began as a dark horse candidate and some have attributed his success to his candid talk as well as strong performances in the Republican debates.
"No one believed he’d get as far as he has and yet he’s still in this thing," said Charles Bullock, a political scientist at the University of Georgia, to the New York Daily News.
"A lot of voters see him as being authentic and a straight-talker. He's not a politician, and that’s a strength right now," Bullock said.
