'Heroes of the Storm': Latest Balance Update Rolled Out, Makes Changes to Heroes Including Recently Released Probius
Several significant changes for 'Heroes of the Storm' also in testing via an open beta
Big changes are coming to "Heroes of the Storm" via a new balance update, and a larger one will be arriving later in April.
Beginning with the smaller of the two updates, the new one focused on balance changes the way many heroes work inside the game.
For instance, several abilities of the recently added Probius were adjusted via the balance update.
Cooldown times for Probius' abilities, including Null Gate, Warp in Pylon and Worker Rush have been reduced. The damage dealt by the Photon Cannon has also been increased significantly.
As developers noted, the changes to Probius have been made in part in order to "make him a little more powerful and, more importantly, more engaging to play."
Another hero who has likewise gotten significantly stronger courtesy of the balance update is Leoric.
Leoric's basic attack damage has now been hiked up to 150. His Skeletal Swing will now also be capable of hitting harder. Lastly, at level 16, Leoric's Renewed Swing will also cause even greater bonus swing damage.
With these changes implemented, "Heroes of the Storm" players may want to put more thought into trying out Leoric the next time they have an opportunity to get into a match.
While these hero-related changes featured in the new balance update will certainly be ones that will impact the game, the larger one set to arrive later on will likely be even more impactful.
On April 25, the massive 2.0 Update will be released for the game, and this one will bring changes to the progression system, loot chests and several other aspects of the game.
Notably, the changes included in the upcoming update are already up for testing via an open beta, so players interested in finding out how the new additions will affect "Heroes of the Storm" may want to check that out as well.
