'Heroes of the Storm' News: PTR Patch Brings New Hero and Several User Interface Changes

Shop additions also included in latest 'Heroes of the Storm' patch but remain inaccessible currently

A massive Public Test Realm patch was released just recently for "Heroes of the Storm" and it features a new hero as well as significant user interface changes.

Beginning with the new hero named Probius, this small probe may not look like much but he can be quite powerful if players are able to use him correctly.

Probius possesses abilities that are designed to deal damage over set amounts of time as well as others that are meant to slow opponents down, and when used properly, those can be really difficult for enemy heroes to deal with.

He can also move around a bit faster than some heroes, which is important since he can be pretty vulnerable to attacks as well.

Moving on now to the user interface changes included in the PTR patch, there are tweaks included that can significantly affect the experiences players have with the game.

For example, the colored ring that appears underneath the player's hero has now been changed from yellow to green, according to the PTR patch notes posted over on Battle Net.

The in-game user interface has been changed as well, with physical and spell armor stats now displayed on character sheets.

Party Frames and the Kill Feed have been introduced too, and players who are on a roll inside the game will now see again that they are "On Fire" by checking out the user interface.

Notably, there are some items included in this patch that are not set to be made accessible until after the patch itself is released for the full version of the game.

These other additions include new bundles, mounts and skins that will be made available via the in-game shop.

This new patch is expected to be released for the full version of "Heroes of the Storm" sometime next week.
