'Heroes Reborn' update: Promo shows HRG missing memories, six new characters introduced
The epic 'Heroes Reborn" is high on doing campaigns for the revival of Tim Kring's hit TV series especially since the premiere date is nearing already. Several trailers or promo teasers have been released giving fans an idea of what's to come and all the more reasons to watch out for its comeback.
The first character that was reported to be back on the show was Noah "HRG" Bennet played by Jack Coleman. In the previous series, HRG was always one step ahead, but according to Blastr, things will be different for him now. The show will pick up five years after the events of the last season including the time his adopted daughter Claire Bennet (Hayden Penettiere) jumped off the Ferris Wheel to show the world her power and challenging the people to accept them. She will be tagged as deceased when the show returns.
However, HRG is shown in the profile video to have no memory of such. The video revealed that the story will begin with HRG doing what he did a long time ago—selling cars in Austin, Texas. He does not remember some things - important ones. Then a conspiracy theorist named Quentin Frady (Henry Zebrowski) found him, asking him about what really took place in Odessa.
HRG will be spending time trying to find the memory he lost and putting the pieces together. He will come across an old ally and friend, Rene or the Haitian (Jimmy Jean-Louis), who is known to be the one who has erased his memories in order to ease the pain of the death of his daughter. More of HRG's journey will be revealed soon.
In other news, Latinos Post reported on the six new characters that will be part of the upcoming supernatural series. One of the new faces will include Tommy (Robbie Kay) who is described to be a normal teenager always bullied around. He will later on discover his extraordinary capabilities with the help of Emily (Gatlyn Green), Tommy's crush. She will be involved in her friend's circumstance.
Other characters that will be joining is the army vet Carlos (Ryan Guzman) who is revealed to be going through mental and personal issues and Malina (Danika Yarosh), the bold and ethereal teenager raised in Alaska. She believes she is destined for greatness so she runs away from home to train with her special abilities. Also a new face is Joanne (Judith Shekoni), a vigilante in hiding but now emerges to seek revenge against those who killed her son in the Odessa, Texas terrorist attack. She and her husband, Luke (Zachary Levi), will be on a mission to wipe out people with abilities.
"Heroes Reborn" will return with a two-hour premiere on Sept. 24, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. on NBC.
