Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie are reportedly trying to save their marriage following a trip to the Bahamas.
The couple, who announced their separation in January, traveled to the tropical island country around Valentine's Day to discuss divorce proceedings however turned out differently. Duff, 26, and Comrie, 33, planned to discuss the division of assets and custody of their 2-year-old son Luca, but instead they ended up reconnecting.
"Hilary and Mike hooked up when they were in the Bahamas," a source told RadarOnline.com.
"Once they were together with their son Luca in the Caribbean, it got emotional and real. Mike broke down and begged Hilary for a second chance," the insider revealed. "Hilary's softened and the two are moving forward to see if they can work it out."
The couple wed in 2010 and found themselves growing apart after a few years of marriage. They are believed to have entered couple's therapy for 18 months prior to the separation announcement.
On Jan. 10 a rep for the actress announced that she and Comrie "have mutually decided [upon] an amicable separation," People magazine reported.

"The honeymoon phase was over, and they realized they had little in common. She was always hoping to work things out," a source previously told LifeandStyle magazine.
"He's in the house all day, every day. It was a strain on the relationship," the source continued. "She was really young when they got married, and she still wants to go out and have fun. Mike's more of a homebody."
