Hillary Clinton Surprised by Half-Naked Man in Loincloth in Hawaii (VIDEO)

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had a surprising distraction when she was in Hawaii this past weekend for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.

As Clinton was at a press photo call with Donald Tsang, Chief Executive of Hong Kong, a man ran past the two leaders wearing only a blue loincloth and carrying a flame torch.

Clearly surprised, Clinton burst into laughter at the sight of the nearly naked man. Smiling ear-to-ear Clinton told photographers, “Great, I hope you all captured that.”

While in Hawaii protestors of the summit lined the streets of a Honolulu park chanting, “Hey APEC listen up, 99 are rising up.”

At this week’s APEC summit Clinton has had other distractions as well.

During a visit to the Philippines, the Secretary of State’s convoy was the target of protests in what has been described as a “paint ambush.”

On Wednesday, the silver Toyota that Clinton was being transported in was splattered with red paint by around 50 protestors angry at legislation that allows U.S. troops in the country to avoid criminal prosecution for illegal acts.

According to its website, APEC consists of 21 member countries that facilitate economic cooperation among member states and foster economic growth by expanding trade and investment throughout the region.

U.S. President Barack Obama has said of the summit, “We have reached one of those rare inflection points in history where we have the opportunity to take a different path – to pursue a new strategy for jobs and growth…And I believe the economies of this region have a leading role to play in getting us there.”
