Hillsong United Sold-Out Shows in Secular Venues
Hillsong United became the first Christian band to sell out the Los Angeles Staples Center.
With their recent Album, Aftermath, they have sold out more than ten shows, including their stop in New York City, a rare sold-out venue for a Christian band.
Aftermath has bolted to the top retail charts internationally and has become the Sydney- based band's fastes selling album since their first album in 1999. This is their first album in two years.

Jonathon "JD" Douglass share with The Christian Post, "[The album] is our response to all the natural disasters around the world.
"We think about the aftermath of Jesus Christ and what he has done for us. By the grace of God we will live the way we are meant to live."
As they continue on their coast-to-coast tour, they have been mobilizing people to help with donations for earthquake relief efforts, with more than 33,000 collected to date. They have also been parenting up with local churched and agencies in each city they visit to facilitate a food drive.
So far, 7,000 family meals have been collected through their fans.
Douglass stated, "For us, it's all about serving Jesus and His Church. Our focus has and will always be building God's House."
"There is nothing better than knowing that we no longer have to live in the aftermath of our past mistakes, but we can choose to live in the aftermath of what Jesus did for us on the cross, and we can live in his love, freedom and grace!"
Their album has also hit the No. 17 spot on the Billboard's Top 200 as well as the top 10 on iTunes in countries all around the world.
In response to the success for their latest album Douglass said, "We just want to make sure that our spirit in front of God it's fresh and new every day and as long as we get to do that we will never get tired of doing what we were here to do."
