Hillsong United 'Welcome Zion' Tour Surpasses 80,000 Fans in Attendance
Hillsong United swept through the U.S. during a three week 12-city tour named "Welcome Zion" where they played in front of more than 80,000 fans, their most ever.
They performed crowd favorites such as "From The Inside Out," "With Everything" as well as their latest studio album, Zion.
Hillsong United sold out shows in Phoenix (Grand Canyon University Arena), Dallas (Verizon Theatre) Denver (Red Rocks) and Chicago (Sears Centre Arena), where at least 7,000 people where in attendance every night. Their biggest performance was in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl where 15,000 fans came out.
"We remain amazed at the response from our latest tour in the U.S. and how many came out to worship our Lord and Savior with us," said Hillsong United member Joel Houston in a press release. "We were excited to have performed at some pretty famous venues -- but our goal remained the same -- that He is made famous, and that everything we do brings people closer to God. Of course, we also had some fun along the way."
Hillsong United will return to the U.S. this fall for 10 more stops in Boston, Atlanta and Miami as well as one show in Canada.
"Our goal with the 'WELCOMEZION' Tour was to take it to the next level," said Jason Strong of Hillsong United. "We believe we have been given an opportunity, and we want to make sure we do the best we can with that. Ultimately, it is about using what you have the best you can to bring glory to our Savior and King. We are excited to be doing some pretty famous venues, but our goal remains the same; that He is made famous and everything we do brings people closer to God."
