'Hitman' Second Episode Will Bring Players to Italy, Drops April 26
The rebooted stealth game "Hitman" will be getting its next episode on April 26 and it will be bringing players to a coastal town in Italy called Sapienza. According to a report in Tech Times, developer IO Interactive and publisher Square Enix announced the release date for the episode, which will arrive for the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and PC.
Sapienza is a fictional coastal town in Italy, but according to another report in Softpedia, it is actually based on a real-world town somewhere in the southern coast of Italy. Players will be exploring the city as the new location for the game but the mission and its targets are yet unknown. According to the report, details about these will be revealed as the launch date approaches. It also cited that the mechanics of the game may likely be different from the Paris mission.
As gamers are waiting for the next episode, IO Interactive in the meantime has provided a free content update which includes the "Vampire Magician Challenge Pack." This pack, which was made available with the update last March 31, includes 10 new challenges "that were inspired by how our community have been playing the game," according to the developer. It features the same settings as the Paris mission – the only thing different is that players must wear the Vampire Magician disguise during all parts of the mission.
Aside from the new content, the update will also provide fixes for the game's performance such as "faster load times" and on scoring and online connectivity, said a Digital Trends report. The report also noted that this "Hitman" game has changed the way it was originally played. IO Interactive opted to make the game an episodic one, which means that new content will be provided with each new episode. The game's first episode was released in March and included a Prologue mission and the Paris location.
As promised, Italy is featured in the second episode. In May, the game will bring players to exotic Morocco.
