Holly Bobo Trial News: Zach Adams' Ex-Girlfriend Claims Adams Is a Drug Addict, Threatened to 'Tie Her Up Like Holly Bobo'
As the trial in Holly Bobo's murder continues, Zach Adams' ex-girlfriend testified against him on Sept. 12 and accused him of being a drug addict while narrating circumstances that could lead to his conviction.
The victim, 20-year old Bobo, was abducted, raped, drugged and murdered in April 2011, but it was only in 2014 that her body was found near her home in Decatur County.
The accused, Adams, is currently on trial for his life and is suspected of kidnapping the victim from her home on the year of her disappearance before raping and murdering her.

On the second day of the murder trial, Adams' ex-girlfriend, Rebecca Earp, gave a weighty testimony about Adams and how likely it was that he was the culprit behind what happened to Bobo. Earp said that she and Adams had been living together despite their rocky relationship, but were already in the process of splitting up. According to her, Adams started to become bad-tempered and addicted to drugs when his grandmother died.
Earp also recounted that in the morning of Bobo's disappearance, Adams told her that he was going to haul some scrap metals. That time, he was reportedly using a different number when he called, which he claimed to be his brother's. When he returned, however, Earp noticed that there were some scratches on his neck.
Later that day, Earp said that she was watching the news with Adams and his friend when Bobo's disappearance was reported. She was surprised when she heard him laugh at the news as he said that there was no way the police would find her.
Earp also said that a few months after Bobo disappeared, she and Adams had an argument where he threatened to tie her up like Bobo. "He said he would tie me up like Holly Bobo and nobody would ever see me again," she said.
