'Homeland' Season 5 Episode 7 Spoilers – What Secret Will The Documents Reveal To Carrie?
The next episode of Season 5 of "Homeland" will focus on what Carrie finds in the leaked documents that Saul sent to Carrie just as she was about to board the plane to nowhere and disappear. The synopsis by Showtime is very brief - Carrie reconnects with old friends. Saul opens up to Allison.
In the previous episode, when Carrie meets Saul and tells him to give her the leaked CIA documents, Saul rebuffs her. He says he does not trust her and Carrie is surprised at this because she expected Saul to help her in spite of everything.
A dejected Carrie goes to her employer, Otto During, for help and asks for a plane to take her to a place that she does not want to disclose. Carrie prepares for this disappearance and in a heart-rending moment, she deletes all the photos and messages from her phone as she gazes at them one last time.

Showtime has released two promos for the upcoming episode titled "Oriole." The first one is titled, "Out on a limb." This promo shows Allison talking with her Russian friend and she reveals to him that Saul had gone to Otto During's club and passed on the flash drive containing 1361 files to Carrie. The Russian says that this is not possible as Carrie is dead as per the photograph. But Allison reasons that Saul can go so far and 'out on a limb' only for Carrie.
The second promo is titled, 'You caught a break,' and has Dar Adal and Peter Quinn discuss his next Syrian operation. Quinn meets Dar Adal in a crowded place and they sit on a bench. Quinn tells him he is going to accompany his new friends from the previous episode, the ones who saved him, to the Syrian border. Dar Adal tells him that they were planning something big in Germany itself. Quinn says knowingly that they were but now they are going to Syria. He then tells Adal that once in Syria, he will send the co-ordinates of a dreaded terrorist and Dar Adal can then do the needful. Dar Adal is happy with the plan.
But all this depends on Carrie's plan. What will she do next? The information in the documents will most certainly need Carrie to investigate further and she will need Saul and Quinn to help her. Will Quinn go to Syria? Will Saul come to Carrie's aid after Allison betrays him?
