'Homeland' Season 5 Plot News: Claire Needs Help

The upcoming episode of "Homeland" season 5 is expected to bring Peter and Carrie with a dangerous task.

It was reported that episode 5 of the season will have Peter Quinn, played by Rupert Friend, and Carrie Mathison, played by Claire Danes, on a mission to identify a dead man. A teaser for the episode showed Carrie seeking help from Peter's ex-girlfriend, Astrid, played by Nina Hoss. During the preview, Carrie told Astrid that she is in desperate need of her help and that she is actually putting her life in Astrid's hands.

Another teaser revealed that Astrid agreed to help Peter and Carrie find the identity of the dead mean. With that, Carrie was seen teasing Peter about the situation, "She said she would do some looking for your sake."

Peter then replied, "She likes me. What can I say?"

Carrie responds with, "Her one redeeming quality as far as I can tell."

However, it was revealed that it will not be the only obstacle in the episode. The previous episode showed Quinn receiving a gunshot wound. The teaser also showed that his wound is not getting better. Carrie asked Quinn what she could do to help him. The video then proceeded with Quinn saying, "How do you feel about armed robbery? There's an emergency room about a mile down the street."

Meanwhile, there are also reports showing that Carrie will finally encounter her former colleague, Saul Berenson, played by Mandy Patinkin. Things will surely present some tension between the two since Saul had demanded to have her killed in the previous episode. Despite this, there were images of Carrie and Saul sitting together in a vehicle with Carrie disguised under a wig.

"Homeland" season 5 airs every Sunday on Showtime.
