'Homeland' Season 5 Spoilers: Carrie's New Enemy, Reunion With Saul, and A Violent Plot Ahead? (VIDEO)
"Homeland" Season 5 is expected to air early next month and all hints point to Carrie (Claire Danes) facing a deadly new enemy.
With a number of questions hanging from last season's finale episode, audiences can expect answers after spoilers emerged Carrie will be reuniting with Saul (Mandy Patinkin) when Season 5 of "Homeland" returns in October.
There have also been a number of indications pointing towards a more violent plotline being prepared for the upcoming season which is set two years after the last season's finale with a huge plan brewing up between Saul and two-timing CIA black ops operative, Dar Adal (F. Murray Abraham).

Season 5 may also see Saul accusing Carrie as being a traitor to the US after her work with the German private security firm is seen as being "counterproductive," making her a threat. Saul's turning on Carrie may also be part of the plan he and Adal have been hatching.
Based on a photo released by Showtime showing Carrie and Saul having a tense face-to-face in Germany, it appears a reunion between the two former co-workers isn't destined to have a happy ending.
Other Showtime slides depict Saul appearing to be giving orders to Quinn (Rupert Friend), and Quinn being shown setting up a timed explosive while a man sits tied up in a corner. It would be easy to imagine the crafty Saul Berenson giving instructions to Carrie's ex-lover to eliminate someone or blow up something.
Season 5 is also gearing up to show what Carrie really is like in her private life, as opposed to depicting her in her work environment. As she is no longer working for the CIA and is attached to a wealthy German client as head of security, audiences will finally be learning more about what the bipolar former agent does during her downtime.
"Homeland" will return for Season 5 on Showtime Network by October 4 at 9PM ET/PT.
