'Homeland' Season 6 Spoilers, Plot News: Carrie to Marry Otto, But Does She Still Love Quinn?
The upcoming season of "Homeland" could be presenting an interesting love triangle between Carrie, Otto, and Quinn.
The season 5 finale of "Homeland" brought many questions regarding Carrie and the men in her life. One of the most-talked about character from the finale was Quinn, who had just declared his love for Carrie in a letter.
The final scenes from the season showed Carrie and Quinn at the hospital, which put Quinn's fate in question. Fans were heartbroken to see Quinn in such a state especially after many episodes of hoping the two would have a happy ending. There are speculations that Carrie is ready to give up Quinn, and let him die. However, there are reports hinting that Quinn could be returning for the next season of "Homeland."

Even though there is hope for Quinn's return, it is speculated that the two will still have challenges in the episodes to come. One of the issues they have to deal with is regarding Carrie's boss, Otto During. It was revealed that During is attracted to Carrie, which led to his proposal for marriage. With that, fans believe that Carrie could choose to marry Otto despite her feelings for Quinn.
The head of Showtime, David Nevins, recently shared some insights on what the future of the series could hold. While he did not spill much about Carrie and her relationships, he explained that he is looking forward to continue "Homeland."
According to Vulture, he stated, "The thing about Homeland is, it's a slightly different show because it really is able to tell a new story every year. I would like to be able to keep Homeland going because it's able to renew itself every season by just telling a story about a different part of the world."
While it has yet to be confirmed, "Homeland" could be returning to the small screens with its sixth season this Oct. 2, 2016.
