'Homeland' Season 7 Spoilers: Keane Recruits Carrie's Family to Take Her Down
President Keane (Elizabeth Marvel) will stop at nothing in her mission to take down Carrie (Claire Danes) and the community she represents in the upcoming season of "Homeland."
According to Inquisitr, the POTUS will go all-out in her war against the intelligence agencies, most specifically the CIA. Keane will definitely be consumed by paranoia following the failed coup against her administration last season. She almost lost her life if not for Quinn's (Rupert Friend) sacrifice. The leftists were so close to cornering her, but due to Carrie and Quinn, the president-elect managed to escape. Now that she is safe and well-guarded in the White House, Keane is eager to hunt down the people behind the rebellion. She already has 200 individuals detained, including Saul (Mandy Patinkin).
Meanwhile, an interesting complication will arise in season 7. Carrie's brother-in-law, Bill (to be played by Mackenzie Astin), will join the Keane administration via the Department of Treasury. He is described as a professor from the American University. It is speculated that Bill's connection to Carrie will play a huge part in the looming upheaval in the new storyline. Keane may use this to trap Carrie and make her return to her side. Carrie is supposed to work as one of the president's senior advisors, but it has been hinted that she will resign due to a difference of principles.
Elsewhere, a new player will be joining the fray. Carrie's old friend, Dante Allen (to be played by Morgan Spector), will be assigned to investigate the 200 detainees who allegedly planned the coup against Keane. It is up to him to prove whether they - Saul included - are guilty or not. Carrie is expected to use their connection to lobby for her mentor's release. Dante is speculated to either be Saul's liberator or jailer. It remains to be seen if he is an ally of Keane's or not.
"Homeland" season 7 is expected to air sometime in 2018.
