Honey Boo Boo has supported Spirit Day on Friday, which focuses on standing up against bullying in general, and more specifically against abuse aimed at LGBT young people.
According to reports the reality TV child star will mark Spirit Day by wearing purple, GLAAD has suggested.
She will be joined by her mother as well as her openly gay uncle Lee.
Those supporting Spirit Day generally don purple outfits and other celebrities such as Ricky Martin and Snooki have vowed to support the day.
According to E! Online Honey Boo Boo's mom, Mama June has said, "We've always supported gay people, even long before the show started."
She added, "We didn't just do it because we have the show. Some people are kind of scared—what you'd call homophobes—but everyone knew Sugar Bear had a gay brother. It's not a big deal."
Meanwhile the "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" star, real name Alana Thompson, has also given her support to President Barack Obama as he bids to win a second term in the White House.
The 7-year-old announced her support for the president in a recent appearance on an episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
When Kimmel asked Thompson if she preferred Obama or his opponent Mitt Romney, Thompson quickly responded, "Barack Obama."
The endorsement for Obama comes as the president and Republican rival Mitt Romney prepare for a third presidential debate on Monday, with polls suggesting the two candidates to be basically tied in a dead heat among voters.
