Honey Boo Boo Too 'Chunky' for Pageants? Mom: Lay Off 'Chicken Nuggets' (VIDEO)
Alana Thompson, made famous under the reality name "Honey Boo Boo," has begun to worry that she is getting too "chunky" to continue competing in beauty pageants.
A former star of TLC's "Toddlers and Tiaras," Honey Boo was granted her own show on the network this season called "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo." Although the season finale will air on Thursday, the show has been such a success that TLC just requested for more episodes to be aired, although no new premiere date has been set.
Controversy has continued to surround the 7-year-old beauty pageant contestant, mostly over the diet that she is allowed to partake in during the show. At some point child services was even called after allegations that Thompson's mother was not taking proper care of her. Some of her favorite meals include spaghetti with butter and ketchup, and in one episode, she was seen eating expired junk food and cooked roadkill.
But in the season finale, it is Honey Boo Boo who is worried about what she has been eating.
"Mama, I think I'm a little chunky today," Honey Boo Boo as she shimmied into a pink pageant tutu for Georgia's Miss Sparkle and Shine Pageant. "You have to stay away from those chicken nuggets," her mother, June Shannon, replied.
Alana's sister even goes as far as to comment that Honey Boo Boo is not at the "average" weight of a pageant contestant.
"Alana's not your average pageant person. Most of the girls are like twigs. She's more of a log ... or a boulder," she mused.
Honey Boo Boo ended up not winning the grand prize, but was voted as a favorite on stage- an award for which she was proud.
"I'm the people's favorite! I think I did my best ever!" she reflected add that she's "the Grand Supreme of my family!"
During the finale, Honey Boo Boo's 17-year-old sister also gave birth to her first baby.
"I'm so excited I'm about to piss all over myself," Honey Boo Boo said before Anna brought her new baby home. After seeing her, she added "Baby Kaitlyn is so tiny ... I POOP BIGGER!"
