'Horizon Zero Dawn' Launch, Preload Details Revealed: PlayStation Releases Video Announcement
In preparation for the imminent release of "Horizon Zero Dawn," PlayStation has released a video confirming the pre-load time of the game, depending on the player's time zone.
The video, which only lasts for a mere 30 seconds, reveals that fans will be able to start playing the game on Feb. 27 at 9 p.m. PST. Players will be able to pre-load the game 48 hours before the title's release, which is officially on Feb. 28. For CST and EST, gamers may start playing at 11 p.m. on Feb. 27 and 12 midnight on Feb. 28, respectively.
PlayStation accompanied the announcement with clips of gameplay, which feature a ton of action and showcase the title's graphics. There is a disclaimer, though, that PlayStation Pro was used to capture some of the footage.

"Horizon Zero Dawn" is set in a post-apocalyptic world where humans no longer reign supreme and instead, there are giant robotic creatures such as Snapmaw and Thunderjaw. The game follows the protagonist, Aloy, as she goes on a quest to protect her tribe from a looming threat, but what she discovers will change everything in her world forever.
The excitement for the new game has already built up. And while it was originally intended to arrive in 2016, Guerrilla Games had to delay its release in order to ensure that it was up to standard. The move seems to have paid off, as Sony Interactive Entertainment UK product manager Jon Edwards had nothing but praise for the game.
"We really feel that ['Horizon Zero Dawn'] is an exciting addition to the array of PlayStation exclusives already available," Edwards told MCV recently. "Nothing has been announced to date but I think there's a lot of potential for this to be an exciting new franchise for us – we'll just have to wait and see."
"Horizon Zero Dawn" will be available on the PlayStation and PlayStation Pro on Feb. 28 in North America and March 1 in Europe.
