'Horizon Zero Dawn' News: 'The Frozen Wilds' Will Be the Only Expansion Pack Made Available
'The Frozen Wilds' expansion pack will be made available to players on Nov. 7
Numerous PlayStation 4 players have been able to join Aloy on her adventures while going through "Horizon Zero Dawn," and next month, the final piece of the game will be released.
The final piece in question is none other than "The Frozen Wilds" expansion. And while there was some speculation that the developers may still release some other things after it, that is now no longer expected to be the case.
Over on Twitter, the folks from Guerrilla Games confirmed that "The Frozen Wilds" "will be the only expansion" released for the game.
Some fans have expressed disappointment over the revelation, while others are looking at it more positively and are also seeing it as an indicator that a sequel may be in the works.
While no sequel has been mentioned just yet, developers have shared some additional details regarding what players can expect from the upcoming expansion pack.
A recently released trailer offered a closer look at The Cut, the new zone included in "The Frozen Wilds." The Cut is covered in ice and seems like an area that is not exactly easy to thrive in.
Once "Horizon Zero Dawn" players make it to this new area, they can expect to meet members of the Banuk tribe and even face off against some new machines. There is also a new story waiting to be unraveled in "The Frozen Wilds."
Players can get the new expansion pack for $19.99 or $14.99 if they are PS Plus members. "The Frozen Wilds" is due out on Nov. 7, though players can pre-order it now and receive a special avatar.
Alternatively, PS4 owners who have not purchased the game yet can now get that along with "The Frozen Wilds" in the "Complete Edition" that will be released on Dec. 5. The "Complete Edition" of the game is priced at $49.99.
More news about "Horizon Zero Dawn" and "The Frozen Wilds" downloadable content pack should be made available soon.
