'Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds' DLC News: Trailer Amps Up The Hype for Game's First Expansion

Developed by Guerilla Games, "Horizon Zero Dawn" has received quite a following from the community as it proved to be one of the unexpected surprises in terms of the quality and the universe that it brought with it. It has received positive reviews from the critics, and in a bid to ride the momentum of the game's popularity, the developers have released the trailer for the game title's first expansion pack titled, "Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds."

The trailer for the downloadable content (DLC) features elements that the title suggested. Aloy is seen to be transported to a universe that is covered in snow, and she will have to fight monsters in freezing and dense conditions, which should be a challenge to the fans. Furthermore, it features some of the elements that helped the fans fall in love with it in the first place, such as the stunning visuals and the overall aesthetic of one of the best-selling games in the community.

"Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds" is expected to feature a new storyline, as well as more quests and adversaries to encounter for both the protagonists and the fans of the much-loved game title. Moreover, Aloy will be receiving a fully equipped wardrobe, which the players can use to customize her outfit to fit the general aesthetic and scenery of "The Frozen Wilds" DLC.

Meanwhile, Destructoid pointed out that aside from the expectedly stunning visuals that the upcoming DLC has to offer, the soundtrack of the trailer seems to really stand out enough to entice more fans into giving the already popular game title a shot. Considering that "Horizon Zero Dawn" was just released early this year, there is a lot to expect from the developers who have been understandably thrilled with the reception of the game title.

"Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds" is scheduled to be launched on Nov. 7. It will cost $20, but PlayStation Plus subscribers can receive a discount for a final price tag of $15.
