'Horizon Zero Dawn' Tips and Tricks: How to Outlive the Monsters
Since its launch, "Horizon Zero Dawn" has never failed to blow gamers away. Particularly on the PS4 Pro where it features 4K HDR visuals, the game proves to be not just one of the best-looking but also one of the most exciting games of all time. In playing this robot dinosaur game, players can use some tips and tricks to outlive their enemies.
First, players should not stop rummaging around for herbs. Like other video games, "Horizon" features a health system which can be filled by either costly potions or free herbs. The medicine pouch, which is located beneath the health meter, can be refilled up to three times so it pays to forage for fresh herbs during travels.
It is also important to note that enemies in this game can track the player if they have direct line of sight. To prevent enemies from tracking the player, one must use patches of long grass to hide one's self. Since the enemies of "Horizon" are sensitive to sound, players should also press Square to crouch. Crouching does not only conceal one from the enemy but also reduces the sound of footsteps.
To better shield the player from the damages caused by the monsters, "Horizon" makes use of a skill tree system which unlocks special moves. It helps to level up the right skills early on in the game to boost the player's invincibility.
Players should also remember that the head-mounted device of Aloy is more than just a plot point. In fact, it is a tool that allows the player to follow trails, study enemies and identify their weaknesses. A player can also use the Focus option to see enemies through walls.
Once the player has already identified the weaknesses of an enemy, he can use a Circle to begin inflicting damage until his health meter runs out. Using this trick properly lets the player slow down the enemy until it gets ultimately destroyed. Using the hardpoint arrows to strike the enemy's areas of weakness also causes the monster to critically suffer until it dies.
