'House Of Cards' Series News: Claire To Challenge Frank For The Presidency?

Just weeks ahead of its fourth season premiere, the trailer of "House of Cards" was released on Netflix, featuring the voiceovers of Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright, who breathe life to the characters of Frank and Claire Underwood in the series, respectively.

In the trailer, Frank is heard saying, "You have no idea what it means to have nothing," to which Claire responds, "I saw a future…our future." Frank then reminds Claire that they already had a future until she started destroying it.

iDigital Times noted that, based on the trailer, it's quite difficult to know how the upcoming season four will pan out despite the presence of some hints as to what may happen to some characters. The website observed that it seems that season four will feature a rekindled romance between Molly Parker's Jackie and Mahershala Ali's Remy, while Frank seems to be in a hooking up session with a yet-to-be unveiled woman. It also suggested that the Underwood couple's problems with each other are going nowhere in the upcoming season.

Whatever may happen in the White House drama in its next season will surely have its viewers guessing. One thing is for sure though: season four will underscore Frank and Claire's moving of heaven and earth just to make sure things will turn out how they want them to.

"Frank and Claire continue their pursuit for power, battling everyone in their way, including each other," disclosed Netflix to Entertainment Weekly in an exclusive preview.

One of the most speculated things to happen on the fourth season of the show is that Claire will seek the presidency and run against Frank. Another fan theory is that Claire will run for vice president as she joins Frank's competitors.

Apart from the new additions to the cast, such as Neve Campbell, Joel Kinnaman, and Ellen Burstyn, its season four will also feature the return of recurring characters Michael Kelly's Doug Stamper, Mahershala Ali's Remy Danton, Molly Parker's Jackie Sharp and Lars Mikkelsen's Victor Petrov. It was also reported last year that Colm Feore will also join the drama as a new high profile character.

House of Cards season four premieres on Netflix this March 4.
