Houston Texans vs Kansas City Chiefs: Watch National Football League Online, Live Stream, Start Time, Preview
Two strong teams clash early.
Starting their season at home, the Houston Texans welcome the Kansas City Chiefs at the NRG Stadium in the National Football League.
The season opener is on September 13, 2015 at 1:00 PM ET.
Both teams are trying to change last year's fate of missing out on the playoffs despite having winning records. Despite a 9-7 output, they were not good enough to play past 16 games.
And despite being this early in the season, both teams cannot afford to lose matches they realistically have a chance to win as they are set to face tougher opponents as the season progresses.
Looking at both teams, it is easy to see that the squads' strengths are on the defensive end. Brian Hoyer will definitely be a positive impact for the Texans on the offensive end, but facing Kansas City – with the duo like Justin Houston and Tamba Hali – things are about to get really tricky.
Running back Arian Foster should be able to alleviate some pressure off Hoyer, but he is currently out due to an injury.
On the other side, the Texans are now famous for their defense and JJ Watt is easily the reason why they are one of the top sides while defending.
The addition of nose tackle Vince Wilfork in the line-up will only help the Texans stifle offensive plays, but Jadeveon Clowney is still another player that the Chiefs should keep an eye on.
A lot of experts are on the fence between who will win in this battle, which makes this clash all the more interesting. Both teams are on the cusps of breaking into the playoff picture in the AFC and a win here can mean one goes through after 15 more games while the other sits out yet again.
Their head-to-head battles have also been even, as they have met six times and each team has three wins each. The least match was in 2013 where Kansas City won 17-16 at home.
