'How to Get Away with Murder' season 2 plot news: More on Bonnie and Annalise

With the much-awaited series "How to Get Away with Murder" expected to return in a few weeks, news about the plot for the upcoming season has been revealed.

It was reported that the second season will include more murder mysteries. In addition, it will also delve deeper into the death of Rebecca, played by Katie Findlay. Meanwhile, the main suspect for the crime is still the show's lead character Annalise Keating, played by Viola Davis.

Besides the murder, the season will also put light on the relationship of Annalise and Bonnie, played by Lisa Weil. According to Entertainment Weekly, despite Bonnie's loyalty to Annalise, the upcoming season will finally shed some truth on their connection. Creator of the series Peter Nowalk hinted that viewers will have the chance to learn more about how Bonnie and Annalise came to be in each other's lives.

More characters as also expected to join the series for season 2. It was reported that Disney actor Amy Okuda will be playing a recurring role in the series. She is well known for the YouTube channel "The Guild." She has also made appearances in other series such as "The Middle," "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," and "Californiacation." However, details have yet to be released on her role for the upcoming season.

Along with Okuda, Matt Cohen of "Supernatural" will also be joining the cast. He is expected to play a character named Levi. He is described as a "sexy working class guy." His involvement in the lives of the students has yet to be revealed. It was also mentioned that "The Vampire Diaries" actor Kendrick Sampson will be making an appearance in the series. There are speculations that his role will be one of the student's love interest.

How to Get Away with Murder season 2 will air on Sept. 24.
