'How to Get Away With Murder' Season 3 Finale Spoilers: Wes' Killer Revealed, But Who Is He?
The two-hour season finale of "How to Get Away with Murder" revealed who killed Wes (Alfred Enoch) but also left fans wondering who he was. The murder of Wes was the central plot of the show in recent weeks, entangling almost everybody in the series.
Early in the episode, Professor Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) told her students, "Isn't that what you want, to find out who killed Wes and make them pay? Now let's get to work." The recent episodes saw Annalise, her fixer Frank Delfina (Charlie Weber), Wes' classmate Connor Walsh (Jack Falahee) and many other characters being linked to the crime.
It turned out, however, that none of the previous suspects was actually the killer. Fifteen minutes before the episode ended, the murderer was revealed to be a new character played by "Pretty Little Liars" and "The Flash" star Nicholas Gonzalez.
Before the explosive revelation, Connor was suspected to be the killer but the suspicion was dispatched pretty quickly when it was revealed that he snuck into the crime scene to save Wes, not kill him. After he was cleared, Frank was also put on trial.
With only 40 minutes left, Dominic, played by Gonzalez, appeared to deliver some pieces of evidence. He jabbed Wes with a sedative and smothered him until he was dead. While everyone was clueless as to who he was and what his motive was for killing Wes, the final seconds of the episode offered a big reveal when the killer's connection with Laurel Castillo (Karla Souza), one of Annalise's favorite students, was exposed.
Now that it has been revealed that Laurel's villainous dad (Esai Morales) is actually Dominic's boss, fans will know in the next season why he ordered the murder of Wes.
"How to Get Away with Murder" season 4 is expected to return this fall on ABC.
