'How To Get Away With Murder' Season 4 Spoilers: Laurel Convinces Annalise to Search for Wes' Murderer
Although Annalise (Viola Davis) is ready to let go of Wes (Alfred Enoch), Laurel (Karla Souza) will not let her in the upcoming season of "How to Get Away with Murder."
Executive producer Peter Nowalk recently talked to The Hollywood Reporter about what is in store for the viewers in the new installment. According to him, the characters will all have different mindsets months after Wes' murder. If Laurel is still determined to find his killer, Annalise is now ready to let it all go.
The EP hinted that Laurel might have to convince the professor to help her continue with the investigation. Of course, the younger woman still does not know that her father was the one who ordered Wes' death. Jorge (Esai Morales) sent Dominic (Nicholas Gonzalez) to finish Wes off.
"We have to start the season wondering does Laurel have any idea that her dad basically killed Wes, and what is she going to do about that if she does? Wes was the heart of the show, and now he's dead. I think someone has to work to still solve his murder, because it's unsolved. Annalise feels like that's just what they have to live with, but I don't think Laurel wants to give up on that answer yet," the EP teased.
Laurel will have a lot on her mind in season 4. Aside from the mystery of Wes' shocking demise, she also has to deal with her plans about their baby. Speculations are rife that she will end up getting an abortion. Without Wes, Laurel will probably see no reason to keep the child. After all, she is still a student. If she wants to continue her studies and become a lawyer, being pregnant might be the last thing she needs.
As for Annalise, her life crumbled the moment Wes' body was found. Although she is technically free, the police will be keeping a close watch on her after all the allegations against her. Fortunately for her, spoilers reveal that she will find someone who will be a useful ally.
"How to Get Away with Murder" season 4 will air on Sept. 28 at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
