HTC One A9 Leaked in French Carrier Orange, Priced at EUR 599

The HTC One A9 has been long rumored already. In fact, several leaked images of the model have surfaced all over the internet. But with HTC's event approaching, a new cluster of leaked images claimed to be from the alleged HTC One A9 dummy unit has emerged.

According to NDTV Gadgets, HTC is holding an event on Tuesday, Oct. 20. The source said that the One A9 is anticipated to be unveiled there as the company's first Android 6.0 Marshmallow smartphone. But even before the event could take place, a French carrier named Orange Mobile has listed the unit and even detailed the specifications and pricing.

Although the listing in the site is no longer available, many were able to catch the details of the upcoming smartphone. It is said that the One A9 smartphone will cost EUR 599 (US $685), which is quite a lot considering it is revealed to be only a mid-range smartphone. Droid Life noted that it will come in at least two colors, steel gray and white/silver and will sport a 5-inch full-HD display with 1080 x 1920 pixels. It is expected to carry a 13-megapixel rear camera while the front will be a 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera. And as mentioned earlier, it will run with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The new leaked images also seemed to have verified the preliminary leaks as the smartphone still appears like an iPhone. It can be seen on the new images that the One A9 features bold curved edges. Two wireless antenna lines can also be found running on the top and bottom edges just like that of the iPhone.

A physical button can also found on the front panel and sources say that it may also function as a fingerprint sensor. The notable difference though is the rear camera that is positioned on the top center of the handset. Whether or not the leaked images are legit, everything will be unveiled next week.
