HTC One Black Friday Special Slashes Smartphone's Price to $30
The HTC One will get a significant discount thanks to the smartphone maker's recently announced Black Friday promotion.
The device will retail for just $29.99 on Nov. 29 and 30. From Nov. 24 to the 28 it is selling for $49.99. The One will return to this price on Dec. 1 from the special two-day discount.
This deal is only good for Sprint and Verizon customers looking to sign a new two-year contract. Amazon is currently offering the HTC One for much cheaper at $0.01 as part of its rotating deals that began yesterday.
Specifications for the HTC One include a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB RAM, a 2300 mAh battery, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, LTE and some major improvements made to the camera specs. The smartphone is available in both 32GB and 64GB versions and comes in various colors including silver, black and blue.
It also comes with an 8-megapixel "Ultrapixels" camera that brings major improvements to low-light performance and optical image stabilization. The shooter provides "enhanced 360" panorama, time sequencing, and object removal along with an ultra-wide angle front-facing camera with 1080p capture.
HTC Zoe gives users the ability to shoot high-res photos that come to life in three-second snippets. The Zoes on the HTC One transform the traditional picture gallery into one with motion and life.
HTC BlinkFeed is a personal live stream right on the home screen that transforms it into a single live stream of personally relevant information such as social updates, entertainment, and lifestyle updates.
The HTC One will be one of the first Android devices to receive the KitKat update as the company has promised to roll it out by the end of January. The software was released for the Google Edition version earlier today.
