HTC One M10 Release Date Rumors: Device Will Come in Two Versions When It Debuts in March
Recent updates on HTC One M10 say the device will no longer be unveiled during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016; rather, it will launch in March in two versions.
As the MWC 2016 approaches, rumors about upcoming devices, like Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5, which are pegged to debut at the event intensify. However, the HTC One M10, the successor of the One M9 that was released last year, has not been making the rounds in the grapevine as much as the others. Apparently, the reason for this is a change in plan in terms of the device's release date.
According to Chinese site ITHome.com, as translated by GSMDome, there's been a holdup in HTC One M10 prototypes. The device had prototypes ready when it was code-named Perfume, but HTC's higher ups didn't like what they saw in terms of design and so the team is going back to the drawing board to redesign the upcoming mobile product.

Although initially planned for an MWC 2016 introduction, the delay has caused HTC One M10's release date to be pushed further a bit. Instead of debuting next month, the device will launch in March in a separate event and should be available in stores by April.
HTC One M10 is rumored to run HTC Sense 8.0 on top of Android 6.1 and sustained by a 3,000 mAh battery. It's also reported to have a rounded camera area, a 23-megapixel rear shooter, and a fingerprint scanner located out front. The scanner will be integrated in the Home button similar to HTC One A9. The device is also reported to have IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. If true, this will be a first for HTC.
The grapevine also purports the HTC One M10 to have a Snapdragon 820 CPU under the hood. But leakster LlabTooFeR, who has been accurate with HTC-related information in the past, revealed on Twitter that the device could come in two hardware versions. In addition to the Snapdragon 820 CPU, LlabTooFeR expects the HTC One M10 to also come in a Media Tek SoC variant. The former will power devices shipped to the United States and Europe, while the latter will power those released in China and Southeast Asia.
Needless to say, these information have not been confirmed at this point and will continue to remain under rumor category.
