HTC One M8, Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 3 Prices Drop by 50 Percent for Verizon
Verizon is offering hot smartphones such as the Galaxy Note 3, HTC One M8, and Galaxy Note 3 with a significant discount.
The carrier is running a special Mother's Day promotion that cuts the prices on all three of these handsets with the HTC One M8 at $99, the Galaxy Note 3 at $199 and the Galaxy S5 at $99. The only catch is that those buying these devices must purchase them with a new contract from Verizon.
The promotion ends on May 12 so those looking for a new high-end handset should act fast.
Specs on the HTC One M8 include a 5-megapixel front facing shooter for video chatting and selfies that can be accessed with a swipe, a Snapdragon 801 chipset, an improved version of HTC Zoe, and a 5-inch 440 ppi display.
The Galaxy S5 replaces the S4 as Samsung's current flagship device and features what the company deems a "glam" design with a perforated back plate that shines in different lighting conditions. It has full LTE coverage, Wi-Fi MIMO 802.11 to cut down buffering, and a download booster that will allow users to download 1GB worth of media in 30 seconds.
Other features on the GS5 include a 5.1-inch Full HD Super AMOLED Display and it comes in four colors: Charcoal Black, White, Electric Blue and Copper Gold.
Specs on the Galaxy Note 3 include improved LTE connectivity, a 2.3GHz quad-core processor, a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, Android 4.3, JellyBean, a 13-megapixel rear camera, LED Flash, a 2-megapixel front shooter, dual camera capabilities, and a redesigned version of the S Pen.
The Galaxy Note 3 comes with 3GB RAM. It also packs either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, depending on which model a user purchases. The battery is enhanced to a 3,200 mAh.
