HTC Rezound May Be Unveiled Nov. 3
A recent event invite that surfaced from smartphone creator HTC may reveal their new model, the HTC Rezound.
The HTC Rezound, codenamed the HTC Vigor, is rumored to come with Dr. Dre Beats audio capabilities. However, there is no official word on whether a pair of Beats headphones will come packaged with the smartphone.
HTC's new smartphone will reportedly also come with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, a 4.3-inch HD display, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front facing camera, 1 GB of RAM and 4G LTE.
Verizon Wireless could be the primary carrier to sell the device. If so, different tiered plans for Verizon's costumer contracts will be offered. The projected retail price for the device may be $250.
The HTC Rezound is said to be outfitted with Google's operating system, either Android 2.3.4 or Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread. No official statement has been made on whether the smartphone will feature the new Android 4.0, also known as the Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
This HTC smartphone will grace United States shores, unlike the HTC Sensation XL that can only be found in the United Kingdom and Asia Pacific regions.
The HTC Sensation XL has a 4.7-inch WVGA display, 1.5GHz single-core processor and 16 GB of integrated storage.
The press invitation that HTC sent to members of the media said a possible unveiling event will take place Nov. 3. The HTC Rezound may release opposite the Motorola Droid Razr and Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphones.
