Huawei G7 Plus Specs: Device Comes with 5.5-Inch Display, 13MP Camera, and $330 Price Tag

Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has recently launched a new device under their upper mid-range G line and it's called the G7 Plus. According to Android Authority, this new device is considered to be the successor of the Huawei G7 which was released last year. It's also noted to have many things in common with the Huawei G8 which was announced during the IFA 2015.

And even though it's labeled under the mid-range tier, the G7 Plus carries specs that are worth checking out. Mobile Burn detailed that the device comes with 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels. It is also topped with 2.5D Gorilla Glass. Its exterior is made out of 90 percent metal with only a couple of plastic panels found on the back in order to conceal its different antennas.

Under its hood, according to Gadgets 360, one will be able to find an octa-core Qualcomm MSM8939 processor. It's coupled with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage expandable via the microSD card slot. According to Android Geeks, the RAM count and the onboard memory of the G7 Plus are actually higher than most other mid-rangers that are available in the market nowadays.

The Huawei G7 Plus is also equipped at the rear with a fingerprint scanner that is found under the 13-megapixel primary camera. Sources say that the primary camera comes with a dual-tone LED flash, optical image stabilization, sapphire lens, RGBW sensor, and wider aperture. Meanwhile, the front panel is equipped with a 5-megapixel selfie snapper.

Measuring 152.50 x 76.50 x 7.50mm, the device runs with Android 5.1 out of the box with Emotion UI v3.1 on top, but it will eventually be updated with Android 6.0 Marshmallow by February of next year. It also supports dual-SIM functionality, 4G LTE, Wi Fi, Bluetooth and all the other standard connectivity features that is expected from a modern smartphone.

Huawei G7 Plus is currently available in Thailand but it will be launched soon worldwide.
