Hugh Hefner, Crystal Harris Prepare for New Year's Eve Wedding

Crystal Harris and Hugh Hefner will tie the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony on New Years Eve and the model could not help but gush with excitement hours before they exchange vows.

The 26-year-old, dubbed a runaway bride by the media, made headlines in 2011 when she called off her wedding to the Playboy honcho at the 11th hour. After being given a second chance, Harris is now said to be ready to marry the 86-year-old adult entertainment mogul, according to Daily Mail.

"Today is the day I become Mrs. Hugh Hefner. Feeling very happy, lucky, and blessed," Harris tweeted Dec. 31st.

Harris quickly became Hefner's "no. 1" girlfriend when the pair began dating in 2009 and he was understandably left heartbroken when she called off the wedding before running in to the arms of Dr. Phil's son Jordan McGraw, according to blogger Perez Hilton.

While many fans have offered the on-and-off couple congratulatory messages, some remain skeptical about whether Harris is a good fit for Hefner. She had previously kept his 3.39-carat diamond engagement ring, reportedly worth $90,000, despite initially refusing to marry him and openly bashed him in the media.

After selling her engagement ring at an auction and keeping a number of lavish gifts given to her by Hefner, Harris went on a tirade, further humiliating the men's magazine owner.

"Ahh.' I was over it. I just, like, walked away. I'm not turned on by Hef. Sorry," Harris previously said on Sirius XM Radio's "Howard Stern Show." She suggested that many experiences with Hefner were unpleasant.

Despite their relationship woes, the couple reconciled in May, and Hefner even presented Harris with another engagement ring, which has an uncanny resemblance to her prior ring.

"I've given Crystal Harris a ring. I love the girl," Hefner told People.com.
