Hugh Hefner's Son, Marston, Pleads No Contest to Domestic Violence Charge

The son of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner pleaded no contest to domestic violence charge stemming from a physical altercation with his Playmate girlfriend Claire Sinclair.

Marston Hefner, 21, entered his plea on Tuesday to the charge of corporal injury to a cohabitant. Hefner is scheduled to be sentenced on June 12 in Pasadena, according to Pasadena assistant city prosecutor Chris Blankenhorn.

Hefner is expected to receive a sentence of one year of domestic violence counseling and to be ordered to stay away from Sinclair for three years, Blankenhorn said.

During the incident Hefner reportedly kicked and punched Sinclair in the stomach during the altercation, which occurred in the apartment the coupled shared.

Hefner also faced an additional charge of vandalism for his actions, which led to extensive damage to Sinclair's laptop, but that count was dismissed.

In the days following the attack, 20-year-old Claire Sinclair cleared her schedule of all Playboy-related events, including photo shoots, appearances, and events, according to TMZ.

Sinclair was named the 2011 "Playmate of the Year," and in a photo that was posted on celebrity entertainment website TMZ, was seen with a bruise on her arm shortly after the story broke.

Sinclair stated that she would not press charges on her boyfriend if he made a public apology as well as received psychiatric treatment.

The Playboy pin-up told TMZ on Feb. 14 that a judge granted her a five-day stay-away order in order for her to have enough time to collect her belongings and move out of her apartment who she shared with Hefner.

The pair had been dating since August 2010. Sinclair was born Los Angeles and has been modeling since the age of 14.

Sinclair has had various modeling jobs including fashion campaigns for Angel Jeans and roles on Playboy TV. She told Maximo TV last year in an interview that her relationship with Hefner was "tumultuous."
