Hungarian camerawoman fired after being filmed kicking refugees

A Hungarian nationalist TV camera operator was fired following the release of several videos showing her kicking two refugee children and later tripping a man carrying a boy.

While filming a group of refugees running away from police forces, Petra László of N1TV was filmed by camera personnel from several outlets kicking two refugee children and later sticking her leg out and tripping a man, causing him to fall on top of the child he was carrying. The man could be heard turning back and shouting at László, who seemed to shrug off what she just did and continued to film the scene.

The first video running 20 seconds was posted on Twitter by Stephan Richter, a German TV channel RTL reporter. The clip went viral and led to the creation of a Facebook group called "The Petra László Wall of Shame."

According to N1TV, László has been fired because of her "unacceptable behavior." Editor in chief for N1TV Szabolcs Kisberk said in a statement, "The camerawoman's employment has today been terminated with immediate effect, the case is now closed for us."

On Tuesday evening, hundreds of social media users fired their angry comments against László through the Facebook page, with some asking for the camerawoman to be charged for her actions.

N1TV is closely linked to the country's far-right Jobbik party, which at some point is deemed by multiple other outlets as a group that sees migrants as "suspicious."

The migrants referred to by the Jobbik leader Gábor Vona as "[swarming] all over the shops" are just some of the refugees seeking asylum in Hungary, Austria, and Germany, to somehow find new homes following their displacement from their own homes due to the war between terrorists and forces in their homelands.

According to CNN, many of the refugees who were able to break through the camp's holding police line walked and hiked for about 4 miles, many dropping what remains of the possessions they took with them from their homes.

Hungary has received criticism from many other countries due to the forces and people's ways of handling migrants, as well as its decision to put up a razor-wire fence on its border.
