'I Am Second' Launched with the Help of the Newsboys
Iamsecond.com has recently released the book titled "I Am Second," which chronicles the personal struggles of individuals as they experience their own relationship with God.
“’I am Second’ is designed to help individuals discover hope," the book’s website said in a statement. The website, Iamsecond.com, features filmed testimonies of individuals who have experienced abuse, addiction, pride, eating disorders, broken homes and the search for success and meaning in life.
On Sunday, the website launched the book with a party featuring the Newsboys as the musical guest, and sponsor, as the band is currently supporting the book “I am Second" on its tour.
"I have a platform playing football but I have just as many people excited about ‘I am Second,’" said Dallas Cowboy Bradie James, who was at the event to Larry Ross Communications.
"One thing I've learned is God has given me the talent of playing football but He's also given each of us a talent and a testimony. I was scared to share my testimony because I wasn't sure people would relate, but I now know people can be impacted by that," James added.
“It's amazing to see what God can do when people share what He has done in their lives. It's amazing to see how eager people are to get involved," said Bryan Norman, associate publisher at Thomas Nelson, to Larry Ross Communications. "Thomas Nelson is proud and honored to partner with ‘I Am Second’ to help spread the message and lift up Christ. We hope the book is another effective tool for ministry."
The Newsboys have released their newest single "God's Not Dead (Like a Lion)" off their new album, "God's Not Dead." They have created a compelling music video to accompany the theme that focuses on a world devoid of the belief in the existence of God.
The video shows the members of the Newsboys going about their day and encountering false reports about Jesus. By the end of the video they have gathered together in proclamation of a living Savior.
The title “God's Not Dead” has invoked a strong response from the band's lead singer Michael Tait.
"He's more than an idea or spiritual being," the Newsboys' Michael Tait told The Christian Post, referring to the title of their new worship album “God's Not Dead.”
"God's Not Dead is so important, because people need to hear sometimes that He's real. He's alive. Jesus was raised from the dead.”
The single which is currently at the No. 3 spot on Billboard's Christian CHR Chart, and No. 17 on the Christian AC indicator chart, features Kevin Max, formerly of DC Talk.
The video debuted this week on Vevo.
