I See Love To Be Performed On Leno

Rock artists Third Day, Steven Curtis Chapman, and MercyMe will perform their single I See Love on The Tonight Show on Thursday, September 2nd. The song is the opening track on the album The Passion Of The Christ: Songs, a collection of works inspired by the movie from artists such as Lauren Hill, Charlotte Church, and Scott Stapp.

Chapman comments on his own inspiration from the film: "As I watched the movie, I began to think about all the different perspectives that people might [have,] not only [looking] at the movie, but at the life of Christ. I saw a martyr, a man laying his life down, a prisoner being unjustly treated. Others might look at it and go, 'He's a fool. Why would anybody do this?' The chorus and idea of the song is, 'When I look, what I see is love.'"

The soundtrack, which will be distributed through the Provident and BMG labels, will be released today alongside the Passion Of The Christ DVD.
