The Galaxy Tab 7.7 and Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus are confirmed to release with Ice Cream Sandwich preloaded.

These devices can be expected to release or re-release around the same time as the Galaxy S2, according to Samsung Italy.

Industry experts have noted that only newer Android devices have been slated to receive Ice Cream Sandwich updates, such as the Google Nexus S, the Motorola Droid Bionic and the Droid Razr.

Despite Google representatives stating that any Android 2.3, Gingerbread-powered phone had the potential to run Ice Cream Sandwich, Google's Product Management Director for Android, Hugo Barra announced recently that the HTC Nexus One is too old to receive an update due to its 1 GHz Scorpion processor being too slow to run ICS.

The closest the Nexus One may ever come to running Ice Cream Sandwich is through ports, such as one created by developer dr1337md, who uploaded a video to YouTube demonstrating his progress at porting ICS onto the Nexus One.

The Galaxy S2 is closely related to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the smartphone that will be the first released with Ice Cream Sandwich preloaded.
