Indianapolis Colts NFL Trade, Roster Rumors: Andrew Luck Ruled Out for Game Against Cardinals
It appears that the Indianapolis Colts are going to be "Luckless" for another week.
The team has announced that starting quarterback Andrew Luck has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals, and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said he might be out until October.
"The reason why is of course he came off the PUP list to much fanfare back at practice, except he didn't actually practice this week and it remains to be seen whether or not he'll still be on the practice field next week, the Colts and Tolzien are preparing for an extended stay here and it sounds to me like October is a better goal for when we might see Andrew Luck on the field. Jim Irsay mentioned he needs to trust his arm, that is where it stands now for Andrew Luck," Rapoport stated.

Rapoport also mentioned that the Colts may continue to start Scott Tolzien at quarterback. Well, that's something Colts fans definitely don't want to hear.
Tolzien was terrible against the Los Angeles Rams last Sunday. He threw two pick-sixes and he could have thrown a third if Donte Moncrief didn't grab Nickell Robey-Coleman. Moncrief was called for a face mask penalty, but Tolzien would have tied the record for pick-sixes in one game if Moncrief didn't break up the pass.
Colts head coach Chuck Pagano finally benched him in the fourth quarter in favor of Jacoby Brissett. Tolzien went 9 of 18 for 128 yards and he was sacked four times.
Meanwhile, Pagano has admitted that they will consider starting Brissett instead against the Cardinals. Brissett is seen as an insurance at quarterback when the Colts acquired him earlier this month in a trade with the New England Patriots, and he hasn't had much practice time running their offense. However, a lot of people still think he's the better choice right now.
