Indianapolis Colts vs Houston Texans Live Stream: Watch NFL Thursday Night Football Online (CBS TV Game Preview)

The Indianapolis Colts and the Houston Texans will fight it out tonight on NFL Thursday Night Football, with both teams having the opportunity to push into the middle portion of the regular season in a strong position if they can claim the win today. The game starts at 8.25 p.m. ET and takes place at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. The game can be watched on TV on the CBS network, or online through Direct TV's live stream (details below).

Both teams come into today's game on 3-2 but both seem to be heading in different directions over recent weeks.

The Texans started the season with two wins, defeating the Washington Redskins 17-6 in Week 1, and the Oakland Raiders 30-14 in Week 2. However, since then they have entered some spluttering form, losing two of the next three games.

Their two losses have been hard to take as well. In Week 3 they came up against the Giants, who were at the time 0-2. The Texans were overrun and were well beaten 17-30.

They were able to bounce back in Week 4 with a close win over the Buffalo Bills 23-17.

However, last week they suffered probably their most painful defeat, losing to fierce rivals, the Dallas Cowboys, 17-20 after the game went into overtime.

That brings them to today's game at 3-2, and their initial 2-0 start now looks much weaker.

The Colts have experienced a very different opening five weeks of the season, but ultimately enter Week 6 also on 3-2. They lost their opening two games, which left them at 0-2 and seemingly in a desperate situation. Supporters were quick to point out though, that their opening two losses came against two of the strongest teams in the NFL this season in the Denver Broncos and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Since then they have got things back on track, and have claimed three straight wins over the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens.

That brings both teams towards a head-on collision in Week 6, with the teams fighting it out for AFC South division domination. With the Jaguars and Titans basically already out of the postseason picture, the divisional title will almost certainly be contested between the Texans and Colts, making this match up vital in seeing who will finish on top come the end of the season.

Most pundits will have the Colts down as favorites to win tonight, and if the Texans are unable to keep quarterback Andrew Luck in check then he has the potential to destroy the Houston defensive line. So far this season he is 147 of 216 for 1,617 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Oppositely, Ryan Fitzpatrick for the Texans is just 89 of 137 attempts for 1,056 yards and 5 touchdowns.
