IndieHeaven And Mission Mercy Partner To Aid Tsunami Victims
Top Christian independent artist website IndieHeaven.com has announced its partnership with relief agency Mission of Mercy to sponsor 'Hope For Sri Lanka a benefit concert to raise funds for Tsunami victims. The event will be co-headlined by Clemency and Plain Jane, two of Christian musics most popular independent bands. Critical favorite Clemency has earned rave reviews for its self-titled debut CD, and Plain Jane was recently named one of the top 10 independent bands by Christianity Today. Roads to Rome lead singer Mike Musick will open the show, which will be held January 28th, 7 PM (Doors open at 6:30) at Crossroads Community Church, Building 8, at the historic Factory in Franklin, Tennessee.
"We had already planned this event as a taping for a television pilot called Live @ Bldg 8, a weekly TV show featuring independent artists from our IndieHeaven website, says IndieHeaven founder Keith Mohr. What it has turned out to be is much more important. We will use this event to raise funds for the tsunami victims in Sri Lanka, and to support the excellent work by Mission of Mercy."
Tickets for this event are $5.00, and an offering will be taken during the concert. All proceeds will go to Mission of Mercy and their efforts in Sri Lanka.
