Playdead Confirms "Inside" is Launching Later This Month

"Inside" is the highly-awaited sequel of "Limbo," a puzzle platforming game made by developer Playdead.

The game was first launched for the Xbox One and PC by the end of last month and it will finally be launched for PlayStation 4 late August. "Inside" is reportedly well-received and awaited by platforming gamers and those who were fans of the first game by Playdead which was "Limbo."

According to Eurogamer, "Inside" will be launched on the PS4 on August 23 this month. The game launched first on Xbox One as an exclusive game and then on PC in late July. The release date of "Inside" was announced through a new released trailer.

"Inside" was reportedly well-received when it launched last month, according to Polygon. Numerous reviews have praised the game for its improved pacing, better staging and graphics, and challenging puzzles.

According to the outlet, "Inside" follows or is considered the sequel for Playdead's first platforming game "Limbo." The first game was also an Xbox 360 exclusive game back in 2010 when it first launched and it was only until a year later before it had its own PS3 version.


'Inside' Review, Plot, Trailer
Those who would be playing "Inside" for PS4 can look forward to in-game achievements and trophies, Game Spot reported. The outlet's review of the game has been positive and described it as "memorable," "haunting" and worthy sequel to "Limbo."

Playdead only briefly described the plot of "Inside" inside in just a few words. "Hunted and alone, a boy finds himself drawn into the center of a dark project," they wrote on its Steam page. Since its launch in Steam last month, the game has garnered mostly positive reviews out of the total of more than 4,600 outputs.

According to Engadget, "Inside" is a 3D side scrolling game with a boy protagonist whom you need to navigate through a minimalist landscape in order to solve puzzles. They likened it to "Limbo" for its art design and style as well.
